Today all the work at the time of admission of the students is done manually by ink

and paper, which is very slow and consuming much efforts and time. It is required to Design of a Computerized Automated Student Admission System, to speed up and make it easy to use system.The administrator would maintain the accounts of the pupil and all authorities related to students are given to admin so all the sections work under the observation of the admin[10].By reducing those drawbacks we create a web based application for managing the admission of the students. 

Disadvantages of Present System:-

1. Require much man power i.e. much efforts, much cost and hard to operate and

maintain.

2. Since, all the work is done in papers so it is very hard to locate a particular student

record when it is required.

This is a online system which includes firstly the admission of new student and also generate the fee payment receipts also the scanning and uploading the students documents and saving it with permanent unique id provided. In this notification providing concept the hierarchy of sending notice is taken in to consideration. Means the person having highest priority can send the notices to the persons having lowest priority than them.  In the modern world of technology, computer are affecting our lives in more ways than we probably are aware of COMPUTERIZED MANAGEMENT maintaining information of an educational institute, colleges, other the list is endless. The main principle behind the need of college admission system is easy supervision of institutes. It can handle the details of students such as fee details or marks details. This Student Database has been designed taking into account the practical needs to manage a Students data. Moreover, it provides security at product level as well as user level. Its design concentrates on 3 types of users: 

1. Admin

2. Students

3. Account

4. Student section

This Database follows a typical event flow seen in such a system. The design and implementation of a comprehensive student information system and user interface is to replace the current paper records. This system is intended for communication purpose between users of academic institutions. This system helps the administrator to easy access the information of students. This system is also helpful for the administrator because he/she can easily bring changes to the records of the students. The mobile application would require connecting to the database on a remote server using Wi-Fi technology. Our system primarily focuses on building an efficient and user friendly Android mobile application for a Cloud based Intra-College Communication Information System using Mobile Clients. The application will be installed on the users (student/teachers) Smartphone. Here the concept of unique ID is also included using which the each student gets one unique identification number by email. This id will help to access his info or find him from multiple students.

Objective - STUDENT ADMISSION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT

The main objective of this system is to reduce consumption of time during maintaining records of college admission process. Separate division are provide to maintain record of student and fee details. In other word our college admission process has following objectives: 

Simple database is maintain. 

Easy operation for operator of the system. 

User interfaces are user friendly and attractive. 

It take very less time for operator to get use to with system. 

User must be able to send mails using this system. 

User must be able to join a particular group or leave it at will. 

User must be able to send messages to other users. 

Notices will be circulated easily.

Purpose:

1). Student Admission System Supports the student admission and registration

process, the maintenance of student personal, academic and fee related data.

2). Database maintained by this system usually contains the student’s personal,

academic and its fee related information. It focuses on storing and processing (insertion,

updation) by using web pages

3). Generates student information in formatted html tables, generates the fees

invoice.

4). Generate Student’s Academic Detail Report.

5). Generate Student’s Personal Detail Report.

6). Generate Student’s Fee Deposition Status Report.

7). Generate Student’s all student’s currently deposited their fees.

8). It Stores Merit list provided by University.

EXISTING SYSTEM - STUDENT ADMISSION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT

Currently , The system is totally manual.

The manual system is slow then the computerized system.

It is very time consuming.

It is very complex system.

It is required more clerical work and use more man power.

The current system is not user friendly.

It takes too much cost to perform procedure.

In this , Paper losing or burning paper is possible.

It is difficult to store the data.

II. BACKGROUND AND RELATED WORK

The main aim of our project is to develop the application which will be useful in college admission system. As this college management system project includes the admission process of student, starting from when the student takes admission in college in first year till that student completes his course and collect leaving certificate from the college[6]. The requirement of the student is to: 

·         Login to the system through the first page of the application.

·         New student registration after logging into the system.

·         View/change his/her details.

·         Can get help through the help option to view different features of the system.

·         Admin login should be present who can read as well as remove any uploads.

The student details in separate records are tedious task. Referring to all these records and updating is needed. Since the number of students are growing and management has to handle records of all of the students, it is facing the little bit problems in maintaining the records of students. 

Scope:

An application Software it will work for an institute conducting a professional

course like MCA/MBA under a governing university.

SAS Manages student (personal, academic, fees) Details.

Students are admitted according to the college allotted by university according to

their merit in examination and their choice of college.

Activities like Updation, Creations done in the system by the System Operator will

be maintained in the form of tables for auditing and maintaining the integrity of the system.

• Automate manual paper work done at the time of student’s admission (fees
• deposition) in the institute.
• Eliminate paper work.
• Efficiently manage the student (academic, personal, fee) details.

Feasibility Study:- STUDENT ADMISSION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT

It is to serve as a decision document. It has three questions to answer.

Since, the present system is manual all the work is done in papers and ink by hand so it is

much costly and difficult to use and to operate and it is also time consuming.

So our automated computerized student admission system is much feasible, in cost, time,

and efforts as compare to the previous manual system.

It is economically feasible, it will only require a single operator to operate the system, who

is responsible for entering the data into the database via a user interface provided to him,

who can also able to show all the data in html tabular form so to provide information

regarding the students who are either taken admission or to take admission, since it requires

only a single person to operate the whole system thus reduces the cost to operate the

system.

It is technically feasible, since the whole system is designed into the latest technologies like

ASP.NET and MS Access and SQL Server which are the most recent technologies to

develop web based systems and design databases.

It uses the latest hardware technologies like P4 Systems so easy to operate.

It is Behavioral feasible, since the system is providing a attractive user interface to the

operator/end user, so he feel very easy to work onto it. Response to operator/end user is

very fast and very good.

Since, as we mentioned above that it requires much less amount of cost, it uses computer

work so it is very fast to operate and it is very easy for user to work on it.

 Working of the Present System:-

In present, all work is done manually by hand in bulk of files which is hard to operate and

hard to maintain the reports of the student presently, took admission in institute.

1. When the student comes in college.

2. First of all, he/she takes admission form from reception.

3. Fills it and submits it into office.

4. Filled form is first checked with documents like merit list and details came from

university and verified by an official person, if there is any mistake then it is corrected.

5. At the time of submission of it the fees is deposited by the candidate.

6. At the time of submission of admission form enrollment no. is assigned to the candidate

by the institute.

7. Candidate gets the receipt of fees deposition.

Proposed System:-

1. It is automated computerized web based software system.

2. It uses latest technologies like ASP.NET and SQL Server.

3. It is easy to operate.

4. Attractive User Interface

PROPOSED METHODOLOGY AND DISCUSSION

Need of proposed system

The main objective of the existing system is to provide a user-friendly interface. The system, which is proposed, now computerizes all the details that are maintained manually. Once the details are fed into the computer there is no need for various persons to deal with separate sections. Only a single person is enough to maintain all the reports. The security can also be given as per the requirement of the user and those requirements are: Large volumes of data can be stored with case. Flexible maintenance of file or data is possible by using this system. Records stored are updated easily without more efforts. Stored data and procedures can be easily edited. Reports can be generated with case. Accurate calculations are made, and the more important advantage from this system is less manpower required.

System design

This deals with data flow diagram, detailed flow graph and the design process of the front and back end design of the student information management system.

The detailed flow is shown in Fig. 2 .The design of the student information management system includes the design of the home page which provides the way for all the students, staff and other user to access the SIMS. Every user of the SIMS has a unique username and password provided by the web master of the college. The home page mainly contains a login form through which a new user can register, or an existing user can login to the system by entering the username and password provided by the web master.



Student:

The student is of center focus,because in every college student plays the very important role. The main work of student in college is to take the admission, so our project starts with the student admission.

Administrator:

The administrator is responsible for entering the new student, providing the individual login id to each student. Managing the student accounts like any changes regarding to the name, address etc.

Office:

In office section there are many subsections like exam section, student section, account section. Office contain many kind of work related to students. In college management system office section responsible for all document work of student.

V. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS

Our College Admission System is online for student. It includes admin, student and office sections. Each section of office is helpful for student like exam, student and account. Experimental result of our College Admission System is student's admission will be done by online.& notice board application which is based on android is give notification to each section[9]. Each process includes in requirement of our project are going to be fulfilled.

Input:

Input will be details of students like marks, personal etc while filling the admission form. Also the notice will be send for check whether the student gets the notification.

Output:

That admission form will get submitted by student with student’s fee details and admission of the student will get confirmed. And all the student details will be available and accessible as per the requirement of the various sections in the college. Also the student will gets notified by message.

Analysis:

After filling the admission form student will go for account section and here the accountant will enter the Unique ID No.[7] provided by Admin Then after verification of the form will be done by student section.

Testing is a process of executing with the explicit information of finding error that making in the program.

Code Testing : -

The code – Testing strategy examines the logic of program.

The analyst develops test case result in executing every instruction in the  Module. Every part of the program is tested.

Unit Testing : -  Unit Testing Focuses first on the modules independently Of one another to locate errors. This enables the tester to detect error in  Coding and logic that are contained within that program alone the test Case needed for unit testing should exercise each condition and option.  unit can be performed from button up starting with the Smallest and lowest proceeding at a time.


Validation Testing : -

Validation testing provides final assurance that system Meets all input requirements or not. validation testing like phone  number , number value , only character etc.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT - STUDENT ADMISSION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT

There is one segment named lab unit needed computer system to improve work.   In this system , we tired to make a simple application for user. We can change our  System day by day as per user requirements will be changed. In future , we want to implement below point in our system.  We can generate student attendance report. We can generate report of student`s result.

VI. CONCLUSION

In this way we are going to develop college management system, which is helpful for Reduction in manual work so less manpower required. Students’ records can be accessed within few seconds. Clarity in account section. Our system primarily focuses on building an efficient and user friendly communication system for the educational institutions. And also the student gets notified for current notices in college by the android application developed by us.
